Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2021 Lexus RX 350- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Tekonsha four-pole trailer wiring harness on a 2021 Lexus RX 350. I highly recommend adding four-pole trailer wiring, or a seven-pole, depending on the trailer you're gonna tow when putting a hitch on a vehicle and you may not end up having to use it, but having it there in case you ever do have to pull a trailer, whether renting equipment or getting a U-Haul or anything, it's nice to have that in place and that's gonna keep you safe and legal because it transmits the light sequence from your factory, turn signals, brake lights and running lights to the trailer and that's gonna keep you safe and legal by letting people know what you're intending to do and this one's super easy. There's two different parts of the wiring harness that plug in inside the vehicle and then there's one that's underneath and this is definitely able to be done in your garage or driveway, I would say in about 10 minutes. This is a very easy one to do so a nice addition to adding a hitch to your vehicle. Now to begin our installation, we're gonna grab this portion of our new wiring harness and this is gonna plug in inside the vehicle. We do need to remove a few small panels to gain access to our plug. more

Hi there, Lexus owners! Today, in your 2018 Lexus RX350, we're gonna be taking look at and showin' ya how to install Tekonsha's 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness. And this is what our wiring harness looks like when it's installed. It does live outside the vehicle, and you can store it onto your hitch with the included dust cap by wrapping it around your safety chain loop. We do also have brackets available here at etrailer, so you can permanently mount it up in one of those brackets as well if you'd like. A 4-pole flat trailer connector here, provides you with all of your necessary lighting signals. Which includes your left turn signal, right turn signal, tail lamps, and break lamps, which will keep you DOT compliant in all states. more

Today on our 2017 Lexus RX 350, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness.So, the trailer wiring is going to provide us with the necessary lighting functions, not only to remain safe but, legal as well. And what a lot of people don't think about is, many different types of light up hitch-mounted accessories like Cargo Carriers and things of that nature actually have the same type of connector. So, this will power those up as well. Now, I have our wiring just secure to these safety chain openings here on our hitch and I kind of like the way it looks. It sits nice and flush next to it and it isn't all that noticeable. more

Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2013 Lexus CT 200h- Video
Today on our 2013 Lexus CT 200H, we're going to be installing CURT's T-connector 4-pole vehicle wiring harness, part number 56099. This vehicle wiring harness is going to provide your trailer with all the necessary lighting signals, so you'll be DOT compliant in all states. What's great about this harness is that it has its own power connector with fuse, so if there's any faults on your trailer it won't affect any of your vehicle wiring. You just open the fuse, it'll allow you to make those repairs, reinsert a new fuse for your harness, and you're ready to get back on the road. Also, included with your harness you receive a dust cap, so when it's located outside of the vehicle you can keep out any dirt and debris, insuring a long-lasting connection.Additionally, while outside of the vehicle, if you're not using it, you can use the dust cap to connect it to your safety chain loop, and this will hold it up off the ground, insuring it stays nice and safe. When you're not using your harness it stays inside the vehicle. more

If you come to the back bumper right where this cutout is here, you look up here there's going to be your harness right here with the cap on it. This is going to be the factory harness here, and I'm going to simply take it out of there to give me a little bit more room. There's going to be a little push button on the back of the connector here, and we're going to push on that, and the cap will come off. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2008 Lexus RX 350- Video
Today on our 2008 Lexus RX 350, we'll be installing the Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector, part number C55563. Now we want to hook up to our trailer, all we have to do is open our hatch cover like so, stick our 4-pole flat off to here on the side of our latch, we can secure our cover there for our cargo hold, and we can close our hatch. You can see it tucked off to the side here. It's easily accessible for when we hook up to our trailer, giving us all of our required lighting functions that we need by law. When we get to where we're going, and we have unhooked from our trailer, we just open our hatch, open up our storage compartment again, and store our wire down inside, close it on up, and it's secured up and out of the way, and we don't have to worry about it being damaged when we're loading our hatch area ever, when we're not towing a trailer, and it keeps it out of the elements so you don't have to worry about getting corroded or contaminated from dirt and debris. Now if you wanted to decide to mount your connector on the outside of the vehicle for more permanent installation, it does come with this included dust cover here which slides over your connector just like so, and helps protect it from dirt and debris. Today on our 2006 Lexus RX 330 we're going to take a look at and install the Tow Ready T One vehicle wiring harness, with the four pole flat trailer connector. Part number is 118478. Here's what our kit's going to look like once we pull it out of the box. This is the main heart of the system, namely the ModuLite box. What this does, this is going to convert the signals that we get from our vehicle into a usable signal or a usable function for our trailer, so we'll have our stoplight, our turn light, brake lights, things like that. This box is going to connect directly to the batter through the 12v wire in the hardware that we've got. more

On this 2010 Lexus RX350 we're going to review and install the Curt T Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for a factory tow package, part number 86083. With this part number this is what you receive. This is our wire harness right here that plugs into the factory port that's on the vehicle. Here's or 4-pole end right here, also comes with a cap to help protect it when it's not being used. Also, as part of the install, comes with some zip ties and a ground screw. For this particular application we're not even going to need the ground screw. more

First off we're looking at T connectors; the yellow wire is for our left hand side. The T connector with the green wire and red goes over to our passenger side, or right side. This is the module that copies the signals from the T connectors and then sends out power to a four pull wire harness to add it to your trailer. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 1999 Lexus LX 470- Video
Today on our 1999 Lexus LX470 we will be installing the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Connector, part number 118365. Since the vehicle is equipped with a factory wiring harness we'll go ahead and find that and pop the dust cover off. Then we'll plug our new wiring in position. Here between the muffler and the spare tire, if you look straight up, there is a gray plug here that has a dust cover and we'll go ahead and remove that. On the top side of it there is a push button tab on there. You just push that and the dust cover will go ahead and remove. We will not be re-installing it. Now we'll go ahead and bring our new wiring harness and it'll plug right into that port. more

Today on our 2014 Lexus RX350 we're going to be installing the CURT t-connector vehicle wiring harness for factory tow packages with a 4-pole flat trailer connector, part number 56083. Now to begin our installation we're going to need to remove this lower appearance panel. Now there's several fasteners that we'll need to remove in order to take it down. We'll be using a 10mm socket on all of the bolts. Now we're underneath our vehicle here and we're going to go ahead and tie our wiring in. Now first we're going to need to remove the plug or the cap that's covering it up. To do that you'll simply push in on this locking tab right there to expose this connection point. more

First we'll go ahead and look for our tow package port, it'll have a cap on here just like the end of our wire harness. Now our vehicle is going to be located right up in here. Go ahead and take the cap off. The button right here you push in take the cap off. Now we'll go ahead and take our harness and plug it right back in .. Til it clicks into place. Then we'll go ahead and route our wire over to our hitch. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2003 Lexus RX 300- Video
All right today on our 2003 Lexus RX 300 we're going to install Part Number 118245 from Tow Ready. First thing we have to do is go ahead and look for a tow package port. On these vehicles, typically it's going to be hidden behind this box. I've seen it on this side, I've also seen it on this side as well. On this particular vehicle, we follow the wiring where it goes in, we can pull out the port. There's typically some white tape that's holding it together, we'll take off the cap, we'll take off the wire harness and plug it in til it snaps together. Then let's go ahead and route it to the front of the hitch. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2005 Lexus RX 330- Video
Today on this 2005 Lexus RX330, well be installing the Tow-Ready Wiring Harness part number 118478. To begin our install, we need to access the rear storage compartment. So Ill open up the back hatch and disassembling the panels to reach the wiring plugs behind the taillights. With our hatch open, well start by removing this interior compartment here. Theres one pushpin to remove on either side. Next well remove this panel here behind the driver side taillight and repeat this on the passenger side. more
